Tim McGraw's song of lower lattitude pride, Southern Voice, captures the essence of achievement of some of the people who shaped the South by attaching their name to a verb. That got me thinking. Alaska's got a voice! We may be remote but our Northern voice resonates those achievements (and sometimes notoriety) far and wide.
Vitus Bering sailed
William Seward bought it
Soapy Smith conned it
The goldminers dug it
Wally Hickel built it
Libby Riddles mushed it
Alyeska piped it
Hazelwood spilled it
Tom Bodett told it
Jewel sang it (except at the State Fair that one time..)
Tommy Moe skied it
Scotty Gomez scored it
Lance Mackey won it and won it and won it
Sarah Palin ran it
The Discovery Channel caught it
Sarah Palin quit it
Mr Whitekeys spammed it
Sarah Palin Foxed it
Got a line to add or maybe you went totally Lennon and McCartney on me and wrote the chorus. Love to hear it as I, uh, haven't come up with that yet.

Create something for Rascal Flatts?? Sounds like good distraction from the (very) negative thermometer!
