Authorities say that the bassist for Toby Keith was killed in a two-car crash in Oklahoma. Toby Keith said in a statement that he is "deeply saddened" by Carl "Chuck" Goff Jr.'s death. He was a close friend for more than 25 years, serving as band leader and bass player.

The two-vehicle crash remains under investigation. Authorities say the driver of the second vehicle wasn't seriously injured. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Toby Keith, his band, and the Goff family
