One of my favorite things about fall in Alaska ( other than no mosquitoes ) is the awesome colors!

I floated the upper Kenai over the weekend, and usually have no problem finding brown bears on the river. Well no brownies this time, but I did see a small black bear!
I had to share this picture i took, because i laugh every time i pass this part of the river.
Just south of where the sightseeing companys launch their rafts, someone put this stuffed bear on a stump.I'm guessing it's so they can scream "bear" and watch the tourists scramble! I've seen this for years, but have never thought of taking a picture.
After spending 3 days in the heat, and living off the grid in a tent and trying to dodge 9 million mosquitos, it's good to be back at work!
